NLD and Alliance Opposition Parties Announced New Year Message

Burmese opposition party, NLD and its allies announced special statement for 2009 New Year. It urged for national unity and demand the ruling junta to release their opposition leaders, Aung San Suu Kyi, U Tin Oo, Khun Tun Oo, Min Ko Naing, detained Monks and all political prisoners unconditionally immediately. The statement was signed by U Aung Shwe (NLD), Shan NLD, Rakhine NLD, Mon NLD, National Human Rights Democratic Party, National Democracy Party, Zomi National Congress and National Ethnics Democracy Leage. All the parties except NLD are banished by the ruling regime.
