According to Burmese local journal called “Open” from Rangoon, one article mentioned of numbers of worshipers of each religion and their numbers of temples and churches in 2007. (It did not state the number of pagodas in Burma).

Buddhist – 46 millions (46,623,541)

Christian – 3 millions (2,873,945)

Muslims – 2 millions (1,919,303)

Hindus – 300 Thousands (365,410)

Buddhist Monasteries – 63,297

Christian Churches – 6,318

Mosques – 2,751

Hindus Temples – 787
